Life Teen

This youth ministry program after the Sunday Night mass has between 100 -120 high school teens who attend regularly.   They meet in the Church Social Room immediately following mass. A meal is served to the attending kids and volunteers.  The new café and multi-use space will allow the program to grow significantly and be more effective in its outreach to our youth.

 

Wednesday Night  (pDub)

The pDub meetings include mostly prayer time and music with about 60 youth and adult volunteers.  This currently takes place in the Stone Chapel basement but they are restricted in size and function in this space – a problem no more with the café and multi-use space.

 

Adoration

At least once a month, the youth group will participate in Adoration.  The connection of the new Adoration Chapel to the Quigley Center will make this much more convenient.

 

Young Adults

The young adult ministry, launched in 2002, is a vibrant ministry of faith sharing, scripture study, and fellowship for those in their 20’s and early 30’s.  This new café and multi-use space will offer them the more casual and friendly environment they have been searching for and enjoy.

 

Offices

Four new open glass-walled offices – approx 160 sq ft each - will serve as the new office location for our youth and young adult personnel.  One office space will serve as a shared conference room.

 

Other Youth / Café Events

The youth groups have ongoing periodic meetings in both small and large groups of up to 60 people.  These meetings involve both students and parents. Staff expect to have teens streaming through the café from after school through the early evening, all day on Saturday during the school year and any time during the summer as a relaxing environment to unwind, have a refreshing drink and snack, play a video game on one of the big screens in the café, and talk about the day with friends and staff.
